If our set trek departure dates are not conveninet to you, you may choose alternate departure dates. Private trek is best suited for cuoples, families, wrok colleagues and small group of friends. We will be staying at 3-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara and lodge | teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Nepal Spirit Adventure will arrange clean comman bathroom long the Annapurna base camp trek.

All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast included in Kathmandu. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the tea-houses/lodges we spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. Nepalese, Tibetan, the more common continental and Indian cuisines are common choices in the menu.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Annapurna circuit Trek-16 days is a moderate trek. Travelers who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day on an uphill and downhill trail will find this trek fulfilling. It is best that we prepare ourselves for the trek by jogging and exercising regularly at least a month prior to the start of the trek. Trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp should be relatively easier for those who have experience walking/trekking in a high altitude environment. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. It is also important that we consult our doctor. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Nepal Spirit Adventure before booking the trek.

Best Time to Trekking
The best time to trek to the Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). The temperature is moderate in these seasons and guarantees amazing views through the trip. Although this trek can be undertaken during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.

Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu airport pick and transfer to hotelYou will be met & greeted by our airport representative who will be on standby to pick you up from the Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your evening is free and after you’ve refreshed, you can go for a stroll down the street to get familiar with your surroundings. Window shopping would be a good start to look around. Your first overnight in the valley of temples & cows. Probably the most in the world; however, these unusual sights are sometimes welcome & interesting.

Day 02Fly to Pokhara and drive to Dhampush then trek to tolka (1790m/5852ft) 4 hoursShort Annapurna base camp trekking starts with a sweeping scenic flight of 30 minutes to land at Pokhara airport and then drive to Dhampush village takes you on the suburb of Pokhara valley, where walk begins through nice villages with grand views of snow capped peaks then reaching our first overnight stop in Tolka with comfort in a nice cozy lodge after a good day walks of few hours.

Day 03Tolka to Jhinu Danda (1,760m / 577ft) 6-7 hours trekFrom Tolka with incredible views of Annapurna and Machhapuchare "Fish Tail' peaks along with array of mountains, walk starts on gradual path into lovely forest of rhododendron-magnolia-pines and oaks trees. walk to Landruk villages for lunch, from here heading uphill after crossing the Modi River at New Bridge to reach at Jhinu Danda for overnight stop, this nice village located on a ridge, where you will have to refresh in its fresh natural hot Spring.

Day 04Jhinu Danda to Bamboo (2,310m /7,578ft) 6 hoursAfter Jhinu Danda village walk leads to an up to reach at the top of Chomrong village and then heading downhill past large spread out village of Chomrong, this is the last permanent Gurung village, and the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary. Our walk continues downhill over terraced farm fields to cross over Chomrong river, after the an uphill for an hour to Sinuwa Danda a small place with few lodges offering grand views of surrounding rolling green hills, from here walk into dense forest till Bamboo is reached for overnight stop, located above Modi River.

Day 05Bamboo to Deurali (3,230m / 10,531ft) 4-5 hoursToday will be a short walk to Deurali with time to get acclimatize, where our morning journey leads with gradual up to Dovan with few lodges near Modi River, after a short stop continue walk taking another few hour to reach at Himalaya Hotel near a large Hinko Cave beneath Huinchuli peak. After a short rest walk on glacier and moraine around old avalanche area, after crossing a small bridge near Deurali before Machhapuchare Base Camp is reached. From Deurali onwards tree lines disappear with only high alpine bushes and shrubs, a nice and pleasant place at the end of Modi River gorge with several good lodges for overnight stops.

Day 06Deurali to Annapurna base camp (4,130m / 13,549ft) 4-5 hoursWalk leads closer to Annapurna sanctuary as our route climbs following Modi river upstream, walk gets pleasant for an hour and then a steep up to reach at Machhapuchare Base Camp. This place with few lodges located on the bottom of Mt. Machhapuchare North Face, from here onward starts Annapurna Sanctuary area. After a wonderful morning overlooking views of Annapurna mountain range, from here a short walk leads you at base camp, walking on grassy uphill slopes then reaching higher almost level ground near Annapurna Base Camp, morning walk with stunning views of close Annapurna peaks that circles the sanctuary facing Annapurna I. After a good scenic walk reaching at Annapurna Base Camp a magnificent spot with about three large lodges at present, offering tremendous awesome scenery of snow capped peaks that encircles around this lovely spot at base camp, afternoon at leisure to enjoy the mountain views. Annapurna area was first explored by the British Adventure Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the 'Sanctuary of Gods'. The Sanctuary has been christened as "Annapurna Sanctuary" ever since.

Day 07Annapurna base camp to to Sinuwa (1,980 m / 6,495ft) 6-7 hoursAfter a grand time at Annapurna base camp around spectacular Sanctuary, morning walk downhill all the way to Deurali, with few ups and downs on winding trail then back into forest reaching at Bamboo and then climb up to reach at lonely scenic spot at Sinuwa ridge for overnight stop.

Day 08Sinuwa to Ghandruk Phedi and drive to PokharaToday our last day of this wonderful adventure as the morning walk leads to descend reaching at Chomrong khola. After the bridge an uphill walk for less than an hour reaching at Chomrong village for rest stop or lunch, after Chomrong with another up for half hour to the top of Chomrong ridge, then our route descends to Jhinu danda. After a refreshing time at Jhinu downhill for an hour to Modi River with gradual walk and short climb to reach at the bottom of Gandruk village. From here continue walk on long winding trail through terraced farm fields and villages to reach at the road head. Where we will end the trek and then board in a vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara after a wonderful time up in the high mountains.

Upon Arrival in Kathmandu (Nepal):
On arrival in Nepal at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport, our airport representative or staff will receive you with warm welcome with garland / Khada (Buddhist ceremonial silk scarf) and then transfer to your respective hotel.

Afternoon or evening time we will review and discuss with much information regarding your trip itinerary and included / excluded services as per the trip itinerary chosen, at the same time introduce your guide who will help you with final preparation for your trek.

Accommodation in Kathmandu:
We provide 3*** stars tourist standard hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara with accommodation based on twin sharing basis with breakfast.

If you are trekking in groups joining basis, you will share a room with someone of the same gender from your group. If you prefer a single room supplement in Kathmandu and on-route trekking, you can request for single supplement (which will be at extra cost beside trip price stated).

Accommodation During Trekking:
In Annapurna base camp trek we provide accommodation in tea house (mountain lodge). A Tea House is a combination of guest house, restaurant, and social hang out. The rooms are with twin beds and little additional furniture like small tables or chairs. Blankets are generally provided (we recommend that you carry your own sleeping bags). Most bathrooms are common with squatting (Asian) toilets or of western comfort with sitting toilets. Most Tea Houses / Lodge have running water facilities. Most of the lodges have hot water for showers, but with extra charge in using hot showers.

Meals During Trekking:
During trekking session full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner as well as tea or coffee provided). We provide food from these local lodge / tea house as per choices in menu.

Breakfast and dinner provided at the same tea house / lodge while lunch would be on the trail. Every Tea House serves traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), and as well variety of different food items, such as rice, seasonable vegetables, noodles, potatoes and soups. Some lodge serves western foods such as pizza, pasta and French fries.

Soft drinks, snacks and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses restaurants. A variety of cereals, bread and eggs dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Safe Drinking Water in Trekking:
Safe drinking water is very important while we are on trek and we recommend that one should drink at least 3-4 litters water a day (this helps from de-hydration and altitude problem AMS).

We provide filtered clean water and adding purification pills in our entire trip package. Beside this, if you wish to drink sealed packed mineral and boiled water you can buy en route at extra cost.

Health and Fitness Required:
Health and physical fitness is most important part of travel and in participating for trek and hiking. If you do not have previous trekking experience as required, you can start with morning walking exercise or cycling for weeks or month before / after booking the trip with us, if you have previous trekking and climbing experience it will add a plus point on the trek chosen, most of the trek is non technical effort walks.

The highest height gain on this trip is at 4,130m above sea level. The walk involves lots of ups and down, walking through local villages, farm lands, terraces and river side as long as you have energy walking for 4- 6 hours a day, and if you are qualified for the trek but still requires moderate health and fitness. We strongly advise travelers to consult your medical doctor before travelling and do regular check up and hand the report to us while booking a trip with us.

Nepal mountainous country walk takes you to remote region, it is necessary that you are accompanied with experienced and qualified guide and leaders for safe journey and making the trip a success. We at Nepal Spirit Adventure employ native trekking guides and porters who are trained and qualified for this type of trip and have worked with us for long time.

Our guide provides with much local information and offering you with advice on how to use your free time and by coordinating day to day events of the tour, although (sometimes) he might need you to understand that if things do not go according to our plan set. Our trek guides are fully trained and licensed from Nepal Government, certify from TAAN and Nepal Mountaineering Association.

All our trekking and climbing guides are well qualified and highly experienced with 9- 10 years on this job. We provide training for our staff yearly on medical and climbing, with their efficiency, and cheerful attitude, providing helps, information and needs of the guests of nationalities.

Assuring that all our trips are well managed by expert team of tourism professional all our guides have good knowledge regarding culture and customs of the routes on trekking and tours, share experience and cultural insights of the country that’s missed out in travel guide books. We closely work with (PAC) Porters Association International Act. We allow maximum load to be carried by our porter with 20 to 25 KG and make sure that your trekking duffel-kit bag should not be more than 20 KG.

Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is a must and necessary that you are insured when booking trips with Nepal Spirit Adventure. Insurance protections should cover Travel / Medical sufficiently as well emergency and immediate rescue evacuation by any means of transportation including helicopters on medical ground.

As well covering against loss or theft of your belonging and valuables and please make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing including others trips and adventure sports.

Nepal Spirit Adventure holds no responsibility and liability in case of loss, theft or damage of your belongings. We also let you know that Nepalese insurance companies does not have travel insurance policy for foreign nationals. They have this policy only for Nepalese national. We advise you when you travel to Nepal please bring your insurance documents.

Re-Charging Batteries of Electronic Items on The Trek:
We can recharge your batteries, devices with electricity or solar power sources. In Nepal 220 240 volt 50 MHZ (50 Cycles per Second) power is supplied. Just need to have a plug adaptor in case of socket fitting, which you can buy in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. You might have to pay small amount fee/hour for using recharging facilities.

Passport & Visa:
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Nepalese visa can be obtained from Nepalese Embassy or consulate in your home country or it can also be obtained at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival.

Most of our guests they take Nepal Visa after they arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. To get Nepalese visa you should bring valid passport and two passport size photos. The validity and visa fee is as follows.

High Altitude Sickness:
Altitude sickness often known as acute mountain sickness (A.M.S.) in general may occur when people ascend too quickly normally in altitudes of over 3000 m. Most people will feel some effect of altitude, shortness of breath and possibly a light headed, which is fairly common. Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and loss of awareness. In almost every potential case there are enough warning signs to take appropriate action. When symptoms of altitude sickness develop you, please tell your trekking guide. He will advise you do deal with your problem. Generally over exertion and dehydration contribute to altitude sickness. So drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day besides tea and coffee which act as diuretics.

Group Size:
We organize any route of Nepal trek with fix departure basis or private trip, the minimum group size would be two and maximum group size is ten of more on request. Trekking Season:
Nepal has two best seasons for trekking Everest Three High Passes, as this trip is much adventurous and challenging, we always recommend that you book this kind of trip at the right time of the year as possible.

Trekking in Nepal is possible at any time of the year, depending on the area of trekking area chosen. In Nepal you can trek anywhere in any four seasons (Spring-Summer-Autumn / Fall or Winter), but the most popular trekking seasons are Spring and Autumn times. Nepal Spirit Adventure offers you to consider the following advice on the outstanding aspects of each season.

Autumn (September- October- November):
The autumn is one of the best seasons for trekking in Himalayan region offers excellent weather and outstanding mountain views, the weather is clear and we can guarantee that you can witness fantastic mountain views and panorama.

This season is the peak time for trekking in Nepal Himalaya and you can also witness several Hindu festivals such as 15 day long Dashain, the biggest festival for all Nepalese, celebrating with triumph of good over evil, and shortly afterwards the 5 days long Tihar or Dipawali (Festival of Lights) follows.

Winter (December-January- February):
In winter snowfall times at higher elevations, the snowline descends considerably, and the weather is cold. So it is an ideal time for trekking at lower elevations below 3,000m in the foot hills of Nepal with great views of the Himalayas, it can get cold at night and in the mornings, but during the day temperatures are mild when it is sunny.

Spring (March-April- May):
The spring is one of the best season for trekking in Nepal Himalaya. Many visitors travel to Nepal in the spring as trekking is fine in all Himalaya regions. The meadows and forest will be in full bloom with riots of colors of wildflowers specially rhododendron the , national flowers of Nepal, comes in great varieties from bush to tall trees. The weather is warmer at lower elevations and at the higher elevations over 4,000m visibility is excellent and temperature is quite moderate.

Summer (June-July- August):
During summer trek is warm and sweaty in the wet summer months, and also constitutes the monsoon season which can continue up to mid-September. Summer is a good time for the keen botanists and forest researchers as the higher valleys and meadows blossom with flowers and lush vegetation. It is not generally recommended to trek during the summer season except in the arid rain shadow areas like Upper Mustang, Dolpo and Kailash.

Nepal Himalaya will be in the grip of wet monsoon season starting from mid June to early September months, although morning are often clear for few hours for the views of sunrise and mountains, it can rain heavily almost every day, cloud hangs around by mid morning, with frequent rain and occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening times.
