4Days Ghorepani Poon Hill group joining trek departure weekly from Pokhar. Private trek can be arranged any time of the year. If our set trek departure dates are not conveninet to you, you may choose alternate departure dates. Private trek is best suited for cuoples, families, wrok colleagues and small group of friends. Accommodations
We will be staying at lodge/teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis and single bed along the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking. We do our best to provide you clean lodge during the trekkign to Ghorepani Poon Hill.

Meals
All meals will be provided during trekking. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the tea-houses/lodges we spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. Nepalese, Tibetan, the more common continental and Indian cuisines are common choices in the menu.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Ghorepani Poon Hill 4 days is a moderate easy trek. Travelers who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day on an uphill and downhill trail will find this trek fulfilling. It is best that we prepare ourselves for the trek by jogging and exercising regularly at least a month prior to the start of the trek. Trekking to the Ghorepani Poon Hill should be relatively easier for those who have experience walking/trekking in a high altitude environment. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. 

Best Time to Travel
The best time to trek to the Ghorepani Poon Hill  trek is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). The temperature is moderate in these seasons and guarantees amazing views through the trip. Although this trek can be undertaken during winter season.

Day 01Drive to Nayapul trek to Tirkhedhunga (1,440m/4,724) 4 hoursAnnapurna Short Circuit trekking starts with few hour drive to Nayapul unto Bherethati by the river Modi, from here walk begins through nice villages coming across trekkers, mule and donkey trains, our route leads to farm areas and villages, waterfalls then reaching at Tirkehdhunga for overnight stop in the comfort of a nice cozy lodge after a good day walks of few hours.

Day 02Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,130ft) 6 hoursMorning starts with steep uphill climb on stone steps for an hour or more to reach on top Ulleri village, moderate size villages with houses in traditional Nepalese style of slated roofs from here walk leads with gradual slow climb into enchanting cool rhododendron and pine forested area to reach at Ghorepani village, located on a ridge surrounded with beautiful rhododendron trees. This village inhabited mostly by Poon people of Magar tribe and famous for Poon Hill view top which is an hour climb.

Day 03Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,640m/8,850ft) 5 hoursEarly morning climb to the top of Poon Hill to catch the stunning sunrise over array of Himalayan peaks from world 7th highest Dhaulagiri-10th highest Annapurna with range of peaks including world 8th highest Manaslu with majestic Machhapuchare peak “Fish Tail”. After enjoying exciting moment head back to Ghorepani and continues trek with uphill and downhill through cool forest then reaching at Tadapani for overnight stop.

Day 04Tadapani to Nayapul 5 hrs trek drive to Pokhara 2 hours by busAfter a lovely morning with views of Annapurna South-Hiu Chuli and Machhapuchare peaks, an easy downhill walk to Ghandruk, one of the largest Gurung village around Annapurna area, as morning walk leads through lovely forested area full of rhododendron-oaks-magnolia and pine trees, on reaching Ghandruk with time to witness the village life and the views. After pleasant stop our last day walk of this wonderful trip leads downhill on stone steps through farm terraces to Syali-Bazaar. From here following Modi River downstream to Bhirethati and to Nayapul for the drive back to Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara by the beautiful Phewa Lake side transfer into a nice hotel.

Accommodation During Trekking
Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking route we provide accommodation in tea house (mountain lodge). A Tea House is a combination of guest house, restaurant, and social hang out. The rooms are with twin beds and little additional furniture like small tables or chairs. Blankets are generally provided (we recommend that you carry your own sleeping bags). Most bathrooms are common with squatting (Asian) toilets or of western comfort with sitting toilets. Most Tea Houses / Lodge have running water facilities. Most of the lodges have hot water for showers, but with extra charge in using hot showers.

Meals During Trekking
During the tre full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner as well as tea or coffee provided). We provide food from these local lodge / tea house as per choices in menu. Breakfast and dinner provided at the same tea house / lodge while lunch would be on the trail. Every Tea House serves traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), and as well variety of different food items, such as rice, seasonable vegetables, noodles, potatoes and soups. Some lodge serves western foods such as pizza, pasta and French fries. Soft drinks, snacks and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses restaurants. A variety of cereals, bread and eggs dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Safe Drinking Water in Trekking
Safe drinking water is very important while we are on trek and we recommend that one should drink at least 3-4 litters water a day (this helps from de-hydration and altitude problem AMS). We provide filtered clean water and adding purification pills in our entire trip package. Beside this, if you wish to drink sealed packed mineral and boiled water you can buy en route at extra cost.

Health and Fitness Required
Health and physical fitness is most important part of travel and in participating for trek and hiking. If you do not have previous trekking experience as required, you can start with morning walking exercise or cycling for weeks or month before / after booking the trip with us, if you have previous trekking and climbing experience it will add a plus point on the trek chosen, most of the trek is non technical effort walks. The highest height gain on this trip is at 5,545m above sea level. The walk involves lots of ups and down, walking through local villages, farm lands, terraces and river side as long as you have energy walking for 4- 6 hours a day, and if you are qualified for the trek but still requires moderate health and fitness. We strongly advise travelers to consult your medical doctor before travelling and do regular check up and hand the report to us while booking a trip with us.

Our Experience Trekking Guides and Staff with Safety
Nepal mountainous country walk takes you to remote region, it is necessary that you are accompanied with experienced and qualified guide and leaders for safe journey and making the trip a success. We at Nepal Spirit Adventure employ native trekking guides and porters who are trained and qualified for this type of trip and have worked with us for long time.

Our guide provides with much local information and offering you with advice on how to use your free time and by coordinating day to day events of the tour, although (sometimes) he might need you to understand that if things do not go according to our plan set. Our trek guides are fully trained and licensed from Nepal Government, certify from TAAN and Nepal Mountaineering Association. All our trekking and climbing guides are well qualified and highly experienced with 9- 10 years on this job. We provide training for our staff yearly on medical and climbing, with their efficiency, and cheerful attitude, providing helps, information and needs of the guests of nationalities.

Assuring that all our trips are well managed by expert team of tourism professional all our guides have good knowledge regarding culture and customs of the routes on trekking and tours, share experience and cultural insights of the country that’s missed out in travel guide books. During your time with us you will have time learning Nepali phrases and other cultural aspects during the journey. As we organize varied treks in Nepal Himalaya, on group trekking we provide a trek leader with an assistance leader on each trekking depending upon the size of the groups.

This ensures safe travel with us as our guide / assistance guides gets any health medical problem, we still have other main guides and leaders to run the trip smooth as per our standard itinerary. To make the trip enjoyable and pleasant we provide one guide to support and carry your bags among two people with one Sherpa helpers in certain conditions.

Caring Porter
Our porter are fully equipped with warm gears and insured on each trips by the company. We take care of our staff / porters welfare as well client’s safeties. We closely work with (PAC) Porters Association International Act. We allow maximum load to be carried by our porter with 20 to 25 KG and make sure that your trekking duffel-kit bag should not be more than 20 KG.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is a must and necessary that you are insured when booking trips with Nepal Spirit Adventure. Insurance protections should cover Travel / Medical sufficiently as well emergency and immediate rescue evacuation by any means of transportation including helicopters on medical ground. As well covering against loss or theft of your belonging and valuables and please make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing including others trips and adventure sports. Nepal Spirit Adventure holds no responsibility and liability in case of loss, theft or damage of your belongings. We also let you know that Nepalese insurance companies does not have travel insurance policy for foreign nationals. They have this policy only for Nepalese national. We advise you when you travel to Nepal please bring your insurance documents.

Re-Charging Batteries of Electronic Items on The Trek
We can recharge your batteries, devices with electricity or solar power sources. In Nepal 220 240 volt 50 MHZ (50 Cycles per Second) power is supplied. Just need to have a plug adaptor in case of socket fitting, which you can buy in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. You might have to pay small amount fee/hour for using recharging facilities.

Passport & Visa
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Nepalese visa can be obtained from Nepalese Embassy or consulate in your home country or it can also be obtained at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. Most of our guests they take Nepal Visa after they arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. To get Nepalese visa you should bring valid passport and two passport size photos. High Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness often known as acute mountain sickness (A.M.S.) in general may occur when people ascend too quickly normally in altitudes of over 3000 m. Most people will feel some effect of altitude, shortness of breath and possibly a light headed, which is fairly common.Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and loss of awareness. In almost every potential case there are enough warning signs to take appropriate action. When symptoms of altitude sickness develop you, please tell your trekking guide. He will advise you do deal with your problem. Generally over exertion and dehydration contribute to altitude sickness. So drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day besides tea and coffee which act as diuretics.
