Everest Base Camp Trek Accommodation
Accommodation in Everest Base Camp will be Tea houses or lodge which will provide normal food & lodging service. Up to the Namche Bazar, you will be provided good rooms with attached bathroom & hot shower services. From Namche Bazar, you will find normal or basic rooms only with basic facilities like electricity, food & lodging.
Food in Everest Base Camp Trek
The tea houses or lodges on Everest Base Camp trail provide Continental, Indian, Chinese, & Nepalese cuisines. You will be provided Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner with your own choice of meal during the trek & seasonal fruits after dinner. Similarly, 3 cups of coffee or tea will also be served daily.
For all the vegan/vegetarian trekkers, they will also be served with their own choice of meals.
Difficulty level of Everest Base Camp Trek
Everest Base Camp Trek is a moderate-level trek that can be done by any trekker. However, physical fitness is very important to be able to trek on this beautiful trail. Similarly, 5-6 hours of day-to-day is expected in this trek which can sound very hard but you will have enough time to take breaks.
During acclimatization day, you can go hiking or visit lots of different places which is not that very hard. Challenging and adventuring is the best way to adapt altitude of Everest Base Camp Trek.
Are there cellphone services at Everest Base Camp?
Getting a tower or connection in some higher areas like Gorekshep is nearly impossible however there is indeed cellphone service in Everest Base Camp Trek. In larger groups, instead of cell phones, the guide will carry a satellite phone to communicate in case of emergencies.
Physical Fitness Required for the Everest Base Camp Trek
As the Everest Base Camp trek is a moderate-level trek, it needs a minimum of medium level of physical fitness which can take at least a minimum of 6 weeks for healthy people. If you are a starter then 8 - 10 months of workout is necessary which will improve your cardio exercise, endurance & mental health.
