Essential Information

How Can I Get a Nepal Visa?

Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport in Nepal. The Immigration Office, TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport), under the Department of Immigration, has been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing visas on Arrival. Likewise, other Entry and Exit points established at the border regions also provide an ' Arrival Visa' to foreign nationals hoping to enter Nepal via land.

The 'On Arrival' visa procedure is very quick and simple. You can expect some queues during the peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting a Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad before your arrival. The choice is yours. If you have obtained a visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions, then you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa-issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter Nepal.

ON Arrival, Visas are 'Tourist Visas'. They bear multiple re-entry facilities. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get a ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country. However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from the Department of Immigration by producing the required documents.

Nationals of designated countries are requested to acquire visas before they arrive from their nearby Diplomatic missions (Embassies/consulates) of the Nepal Government. Check the link to make sure of your eligibility for the visa 'On Arrival. If you wish to apply for a Nepal visa, please kindly open this link: Department of immigration.

Once you arrive at the airport, please follow these simple procedures for a Tourist Visa on Arrival.

1st Step:

Fill in an arrival card.

Fill in the Online ‘Tourist Visa ‘form ( you can fill it up before your arrival, visiting the official website of the Department of Immigration / fill it up using the Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport).

If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode. Please print it out and bring it along to acquire a visa.

It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid after that. If so, you will have to fill it up again.

2nd Step:

Make payment at the bank according to your visa requirement ( 15/30/90 Days).

Get the receipt

Mountain Flight in Nepal FAQs

Good question. You’re doing the mountain flight in Nepal to see the Mt. Everest. You can see Everest around 25–30 miles away from the window seat of the plane, and our primary target of the mountain flight is Mount Everest.

The mountain flight is usually 50 minutes to an hour. Going to the airport and back to the destination will take around an hour, so the total time with the flight and the transportation can be up to 2 hours or 3 hours.

A mountain flight is a domestic flight that flies 18000–25000 feet above sea level. We can see Mount Everest and many mountains from the flight, which are clear and seem so close without a trek. We can see magnificent views like Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse,Dablam,Cho Oyu, Makalu, and many other peaks in the Himalayas.

No, you do not get altitude sickness during the mountain flight. By chance, if someone feels short of breath, an oxygen mask and cylinders are placed on the plane.

Yes, we give you complimentary pickup from your hotel and drop off at your hotel after the mountain flight.

The mountain flight is completely safe and can be done without any hesitation, as the aircraft operating the flights are very well-conditioned and the pilots are well-trained, so there is no danger when going on a mountain flight.

Due to the bad visibility, the flights get delayed; sometimes flights get shifted to the next day. We will inform you in case of bad weather, flight delays, or cancellations.

The mountain flight begins from Kathmandu domestic airport at  6 am to 8 am every day.

One hour before the flight departure to the Everest region from Kathmandu's domestic airport.
