Namche Bazaar

The Namche Bazaar is situated 3,440m high from sea level and about 241 kilometers from Kathmandu. This place is the main junction and gateway to Mt. Everest for many regions such as Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest Expedition, Peak Climbing, and 3 Passes trail including Gokyo Valley, Chola Pass, and Renjo La Pass.

Namche offers magnificent mountain views including Mount Everest at 8,848m and this place is best for an Everest view trek. Namache Bazaar can be reached after a two-day trek from the Lukla airstrip.

A trek of around three hours from Namche takes visitors to the beautiful Sherpa villages of Khumjung and Khunde lying on the laps of Khumbi-la, a beautiful greatly revered by the Sherpa people. There is a beautiful monastery on the upper part of Namache Bazaar.
