16 Days Annapurna Circuit group joining trek departure from Kathmandu as per our set departure date. Private trek can be arranged any time of the year. If our set trek departure dates are not conveninet to your Nepal holidays, you may choose alternate departure dates. Private trek is best suited for cuoples, families, wrok colleagues and small group of friends. Customized trek itineraries are available as per your travel needs please contact your trekking agency at Nepal Spirit Adventure.

We will be staying at 3-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Lodge and guest houses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Nepal Spirit Adventure will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.

All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast included in Kathmandu. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the tea-houses/lodges we spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. Nepalese, Tibetan, the more common continental and Indian cuisines are common choices in the menu.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Annapurna circuit Trek-16 days is a moderate trek. Travelers who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day on an uphill and downhill trail will find this trek fulfilling. It is best that we prepare ourselves for the trek by jogging and exercising regularly at least a month prior to the start of the trek. Trekking to the Annapurna circuit trekking should be relatively easier for those who have experience walking/trekking in a high altitude environment. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. It is also important that we consult our doctor. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Nepal Spirit Adventure before booking the trek.

Best Time to Travel
The best time to trek to the Annapurna circuit  trek is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). The temperature is moderate in these seasons and guarantees amazing views through the trip. Although this trek can be undertaken during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.

Day 02In Kathmandu & trek preparation overnight in hotelAfter enjoying breakfast (included), today is a day to relax in Kathmandu. You can explore the city by yourself or you can join us for a sightseeing trip to one of the major world Heritage sites in and around Kathmandu such as Basantapur, Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu Durbar Square), Swayambhunath temple (the Monkey Temple) the Hindu temple Pashupatinath or the Boudhanath stupa, one of the biggest in the world and its surrounding area, later on in the afternoon you will visit the office for a check on your trip/trekking equipment and to answer any questions you might have, we will brief you in detail about the trip, make sure you have, or will find, all the necessary trekking equipment you need, as well as introducing you to the guide who will accompany you for the whole trip overnight in hotel.

Day 03Drive to Syange (1,140m/3,740ft) via Besisahar by bus 07 hrsStarting this wonderful adventure with an interesting overland drive towards Nepal mid west, leading to Beshishar town (headquarter of Lamjung district). From here transfer to another vehicle and continue drive on dirt road passing villages of Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream. Drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange a small village for overnight stop in the comfort of nice lodge.

Day 04Syange to Dharapani (1,943m/6,374ft) 5-6 hrs trekFrom Syange our walk begins with climb leaving Marsyangdi River behind reaching at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers. After Jagat walk leads on winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River crossing to east side into forested area, with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. As the walk continues reaching a nice village at Tal Besi, from here another 3 hours walk leads to our overnight stop at Dharapani village. Dharapani a nice village located on a junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

Day 05Dharapani to Chame (2,720m/8,923ft) 5-6 hrs trekAfter Dharapani walk leads into rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then at Timang village with more Buddhist cultured village including views of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, Chame a large major town of Manang area and a head quarter town of the district.

Day 06Chame to Pisang (3,190m/10,465ft) 5 hrs trekFrom Pisang onwards walk leads close to mountains through alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, with possible lunch stop, and then descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Day 07Pisang to Manang (3,540m/11,614ft) 4 hrs trek Morning views of mountains, from here onward altitude gains as the walk leads through forest with short uphill and views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. Walk downhill to reach flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines fades for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and fresco and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches at Manang village.

Day 08Manang Acclimatization day with short hikeA necessary rest day at Manang for acclimatization before reaching higher areas to Thorang-la pass, in Manang short hike around Manang village, this is a large village situated on windswept valley by the bank of Marsyangdi River below Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and Manang glacial Lake.

Day 09Manang to Yak Kharka (4,210m/13,812ft) 4 hrs trek After a good rest at Manang, walk towards Ghunsang village with short uphill to reach at Yak Kharka, an interesting walk with views of snowcapped mountains, on crossing a small stream reaching Yak Kharka for overnight stop, a small settlement with views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 10Yak Kharka to Thorung- La High Camp (4,450m/14,450ft) 4 hrsMorning walk lead to more high elevation getting closer at the base of Thorang-la after crossing a bridge with a climb along the river bank of Jarjung, finally walk leads at Thorung Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well an hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.

Day 11Cross Thorung La (5,416m/17,769ft) trek to Muktinath (3,800m) 7-8 hrsOne of the highlight and Big Day of this adventure! After early breakfast walk leads to a long climb to Thorang-la on steep winding path to reach Thorung La Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft. The highest point of the adventure with views of snow capped peaks, and then with long descends to reach at holy Muktinath around Lower Mustang area. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, this is a holy spot for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation'.

Upon Arrival in Nepal:
On arrival in Nepal at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport, our airport representative or staff will receive you with warm welcome with garland / Khada (Buddhist ceremonial silk scarf) and then transfer to your respective hotels. Afternoon or evening time we will review and discus with much information regarding your trip itinerary and included / excluded services as per the trip itinerary chosen, at the same time introduce your guide who will help you with final preparation for your trek.

Accommodation in Kathmandu:
We provide 2-3 stars tourist standard hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara with accommodation based on twin sharing basis with breakfast. If you are trekking in groups joining basis, you will share a room with someone of the same gender from your group. If you prefer a single room supplement in Kathmandu and on-route trekking, you can request for single supplement (which will be at extra cost beside trip price stated). Accommodation During Trekking:
IAnnapurna trekking region we provide accommodation in tea house (mountain lodge). A Tea House is a combination of guest house, restaurant, and social hang out. The rooms are with twin beds and little additional furniture like small tables or chairs. Blankets are generally provided (we recommend that you carry your own sleeping bags). Most bathrooms are common with squatting (Asian) toilets or of western comfort with sitting toilets. Most Tea Houses / Lodge have running water facilities. Most of the lodges have hot water for showers, but with extra charge in using hot showers.

Meals During Trekking:
During the tre full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner as well as tea or coffee provided). We provide food from these local lodge / tea house as per choices in menu. Breakfast and dinner provided at the same tea house / lodge while lunch would be on the trail. Every Tea House serves traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), and as well variety of different food items, such as rice, seasonable vegetables, noodles, potatoes and soups. Some lodge serves western foods such as pizza, pasta and French fries. Soft drinks, snacks and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses restaurants. A variety of cereals, bread and eggs dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Safe Drinking Water in Trekking:
Safe drinking water is very important while we are on trek and we recommend that one should drink at least 3-4 litters water a day (this helps from de-hydration and altitude problem AMS). We provide filtered clean water and adding purification pills in our entire trip package. Beside this, if you wish to drink sealed packed mineral and boiled water you can buy en route at extra cost.

Health and Fitness Required:
Health and physical fitness is most important part of travel and in participating for trek and hiking. If you do not have previous trekking experience as required, you can start with morning walking exercise or cycling for weeks or month before / after booking the trip with us, if you have previous trekking and climbing experience it will add a plus point on the trek chosen, most of the trek is non technical effort walks. The highest height gain on this trip is at 5,545m above sea level. The walk involves lots of ups and down, walking through local villages, farm lands, terraces and river side as long as you have energy walking for 4- 6 hours a day, and if you are qualified for the trek but still requires moderate health and fitness. We strongly advise travelers to consult your medical doctor before travelling and do regular check up and hand the report to us while booking a trip with us.

Our Experience Trekking Guides and Staff with Safety:
Nepal mountainous country walk takes you to remote region, it is necessary that you are accompanied with experienced and qualified guide and leaders for safe journey and making the trip a success. We at Nepal Spirit Adventure employ native trekking guides and porters who are trained and qualified for this type of trip and have worked with us for long time.

Our guide provides with much local information and offering you with advice on how to use your free time and by coordinating day to day events of the tour, although (sometimes) he might need you to understand that if things do not go according to our plan set. Our trek guides are fully trained and licensed from Nepal Government, certify from TAAN and Nepal Mountaineering Association. All our trekking and climbing guides are well qualified and highly experienced with 9- 10 years on this job. We provide training for our staff yearly on medical and climbing, with their efficiency, and cheerful attitude, providing helps, information and needs of the guests of nationalities.

Assuring that all our trips are well managed by expert team of tourism professional all our guides have good knowledge regarding culture and customs of the routes on trekking and tours, share experience and cultural insights of the country that’s missed out in travel guide books. During your time with us you will have time learning Nepali phrases and other cultural aspects during the journey. As we organize varied treks in Nepal Himalaya, on group trekking we provide a trek leader with an assistance leader on each trekking depending upon the size of the groups.

This ensures safe travel with us as our guide / assistance guides gets any health medical problem, we still have other main guides and leaders to run the trip smooth as per our standard itinerary. To make the trip enjoyable and pleasant we provide one guide to support and carry your bags among two people with one Sherpa helpers in certain conditions.

Caring Porter:
Our porter are fully equipped with warm gears and insured on each trips by the company. We take care of our staff / porters welfare as well client’s safeties. We closely work with (PAC) Porters Association International Act. We allow maximum load to be carried by our porter with 20 to 25 KG and make sure that your trekking duffel-kit bag should not be more than 20 KG.

Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is a must and necessary that you are insured when booking trips with Nepal Spirit Adventure. Insurance protections should cover Travel / Medical sufficiently as well emergency and immediate rescue evacuation by any means of transportation including helicopters on medical ground. As well covering against loss or theft of your belonging and valuables and please make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing including others trips and adventure sports. Nepal Spirit Adventure holds no responsibility and liability in case of loss, theft or damage of your belongings. We also let you know that Nepalese insurance companies does not have travel insurance policy for foreign nationals. They have this policy only for Nepalese national. We advise you when you travel to Nepal please bring your insurance documents.

Re-Charging Batteries of Electronic Items on The Trek:
We can recharge your batteries, devices with electricity or solar power sources. In Nepal 220 240 volt 50 MHZ (50 Cycles per Second) power is supplied. Just need to have a plug adaptor in case of socket fitting, which you can buy in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. You might have to pay small amount fee/hour for using recharging facilities.

All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visas to enter Nepal. Nepalese visa can be obtained from Nepalese Embassy or consulate in your home country or it can also be obtained at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. Most of our guests they take Nepal Visa after they arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. To get Nepalese visa you should bring valid passport and two passport size photos. High Altitude Sickness:
Altitude sickness often known as acute mountain sickness (A.M.S.) in general may occur when people ascend too quickly normally in altitudes of over 3000 m. Most people will feel some effect of altitude, shortness of breath and possibly a light headed, which is fairly common.Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and loss of awareness. In almost every potential case there are enough warning signs to take appropriate action. When symptoms of altitude sickness develop you, please tell your trekking guide. He will advise you do deal with your problem. Generally over exertion and dehydration contribute to altitude sickness. So drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day besides tea and coffee which act as diuretics.

Group Size:
We organize any route of Nepal trek with fix departure basis or private trip, the minimum group size would be two and maximum group size is ten of more on request. We can also organize private trip to solo person with single supplement cost.
